Going into the closed season, I didn’t envisage any changes to  the management team, however football is a funny old game and  never stands still. By now, you will all be aware that Dave Burrell  has moved on to pastures new and has joined up with Robbie  Horn, to form the new management team at Bonnyrigg Rose, we  wish Dave well…… but NOT TO WELL!! Haha  Unfortunately the changes to the management team don’t end  there…. Scott Montgomery has informed us that due to family  and personal future commitments, he doesn’t feel he will be able  to give the assistant manager’s role the commitment it requires.  And for that reason has decided to step down from that role,  however, I’m pleased to say he will not be leaving the club and  will continue with his role as a coach.  In light of these developments, I’m pleased to announce that  current player David White will take the reins and become our  new player/assistant manager. I’m sure you’ll all join me in  wishing big Whitey all the best in his new role.  Pre-Season friendlies The following pre-season friendlies have been arranged:- 18.7.15  - Penicuik Athletic v Irvine Meadow XI   21.7.15 - Penicuik Athletic v Whitehill Welfare  25.7.15 - Hermes v Penicuik Athletic   01.8.15 - Penicuik Athletic v Jeanfield Swifts  Latest Team News Craig Meikle Has been exceptionally busy in the transfer market  already. Penicuik 2 Sauchie 4 Sauchie were the visitors to Penicuik Park for this fifth playoff position in the East Super League. Penicuik took the lead in the 25th minute when Neil Jancyzk slotted home from close range. Penicuik continued to dominate until the 41st minute when Sauchie took advantage of a soft free kick just outside the box. Sauchie took the free kick quickly and Ian Diack hooked the ball home. Immediately afterwards indiscipline cost Lister and his side dear when he was sent off by referee Cairns. Seven minutes into the second half, and Sauchie took the lead through Danny Ashe. In the 63rd minute substitute Bonnes added to Penicuik’s woes with a third for the visitors. Fifteen minutes later substitute Colin Samuel scored for Sauchie after an error by Bunyan. Penicuik got a consolation goal again by Jancyzk. CLICK HERE for the full match report. Click the camera to view the match video
