Sacred Tuck In Ceremony
Sacred Tuck In Ceremony
In so many societies, birth has lost it's way - babies are conceived, carried and
birthed but the beauty, power and holistic significance of all of these stages has
become hidden, devalued and side tracked, often leaving in it's place a broken
path and a sense of trauma. It is through ceremony and ritual that we will again
find, honour, respect, nourish and cherish the whole birth process, particularly the
vulnerability of a woman as she transitions into motherhood. Closing the birth
process is critical for so many reasons - energetically to finish the process,
physically to heal the body and spiritually to step from woman into motherhood.
A Sacred Tuck In Ceremony is a beautiful and powerful way to seal birth and to
enable a new mother to walk her motherhood path with physical, emotional and
spiritual wholeness. The ceremony honours all that a woman has achieved in her
pregnancy and birth, provides her with a blessing as she moves forward into
motherhood and it envelopes her with warmth, strength and love. Although a
Sacred Tuck In Ceremony is generally carried out within days/weeks of birth, It is
NEVER TO LATE for a woman to seal her birth!
What does a Tuck In Ceremony involve?
I will provide everything that is needed for your Sacred Tuck In
Ceremony and will carry this out in your home. The ceremony
involves:
1) Setting up of the environment - the ceremony can be carried out on
top of your bed or on the floor (carpeted flooring is preferable for your
comfort). I will create a beautiful, calm, relaxing and warm space
using candles, fairy lights, flowers, crystals and other items that
honour you as a postnatal mother. If there are any items that are of
importance to you that you would like to have present during your
ceremony, I can easily incorporate these for you.
2) 6 soft cotton scarves are laid out on top of the bed/on the floor and rose petals are scattered on top. On entry to the
ceremonial space, you will lie down on your back on these scarves.
3) Once you are lying down, I will place warmed lavender rice packs down the sides of your body and one by one, tie up each
scarf, providing you with a blessing as each scarf is tied.
4) After all the scarves are tied, you are able to relax and enjoy the warmth and relaxation whilst I play a beautiful piece of
music that honours you as a mother.
5) After a short time, I will untie each scarf one by one to mark that the ceremony has come to an end.
Should you wish to have a Bengkung Belly Bind, this will be taught and applied after your Sacred Tuck In Ceremony.
"The birthing process in itself, as well as the minutes, hours, weeks, months and
years that unfold, have the power to make, break or heal a woman's soul - it is at the
gateway of birth into motherhood that every woman deserves the right to be
honoured, loved, respected and nourished through ceremony, ritual and blessings"
