We are delighted to confirm the signing of goalkeeper Robert Watt from Tynecastle. Robert joined Tynecastle in 2017 following his departure from Livingston and quickly progressed through their U20s into establishing himself as their number 1. Dar rell Young   (Defender)   - The   central   defender   now   in   his   fifth   season   at   the   club   with   over   125   appearances   under   his   belt   and firmly   established   as   a   first-choice   centre   half.   Signed   from   Bonnyrigg   Rose   ‘A’   in   the   summer   of   2013   and   was   an   integral   part of the Premier League winning side in 2013-14 and a key member of the 2016 Fife & Lothians Cup winning team. Scott McCrory- Irving (Midfielder) – Another summer signing from the Lowland League. Attacking midfielder Scott joined Edinburgh University two years ago from Spartans U20s and he was a prominent part of their side in last season's Lowland League, notably scoring a fine free kick against champions East Kilbride Thistle.

Aa ron   Ponton   (Midfielder)   - Arran   joined   from   Premier   League   side   Haddington Athletic   as   our   first   addition   ahead   of   season   2017/18. Arran   joined   the   Millfield   side   from   Musselburgh   Athletic   in   2013,   making   over   100   appearances   and   winning   the   South   Division   in 2015 under Johnny Harvey. Arran also counts Berwick Rangers, Arniston Rangers and Vale of Leithen as his former clubs. We   are   delighted   to   confirm   the   signing   of   defender   Craig   Stevenson   from   Lowland   League   Champions   Spartans.   ‘Grinchy’ joined   Spartans   in   2014   from   Lothian   Thistle   Hutchison   Vale,   and   he   previously   spent   time   at   Cowdenbeath   and   Berwick Rangers. He   was   described   in   the   Spartans   match   programme   at   the   weekend,   ‘a   fantastic   work   ethnic,   combined   with   skill   and   pace, and his versatility is a big asset’.

A aron   Somerville   (Striker)   - A   prolific   goalscorer   in   the   Lowland   League,   where   he   was   Golden   Boot   winner   in   2014-15, Aaron joined    from    Whitehill    Welfare    in    the    summer    of    2015.    His    previous    clubs    include    his    hometown    Vale    of    Leithen    and Newtongrange Star. Started pre-season with a five goal haul at Preston Atheltic. Li am   O’Donnell   has   agreed   to   join   Penicuik Athletic   ahead   of   season   2019/20.   Liam   will   join   us   from   Lothian   Thistle   Hutchison Vale,   where   he   won   the   East   of   Scotland   League   alongside   fellow   new   signing   Kevin   Swain.   Equally   comfortable   in   defence and midfield, he becomes our fourth addition ahead of the new season. S ean   Stewart   has   agreed   to   join   Penicuik Athletic   ahead   of   season   2019/20.   Making   the   move   from   Vale   of   Leithen,   Sean   won multiple   Player   of   the Year   awards   during   his   time   there   as   well   as   being   one   of   the   leading   scorers   in   the   Lowland   League   last season. Described as ‘quick, direct and pacey’, Sean will add to our attacking options for the new season.

C allum   Connelly   (Midfielder)   -   A   midfielder   joined   the   club   early   last   season   from   Lowland   League   Whitehill   Welfare. Callum   joined   Whitehill   from   Lothian   Thistle   HV   in   the   summer   of   2015   and   made   37   appearances,   scoring   10   goals.   Is becoming Mr Versatility at Penicuik having filled almost the outfield positions.
G reg was on the books of Hearts for seven years before spending two years with St Johnstone prior to joining Tynecastle in 2017.

Sam Jones (Midfielder) - Sam joined on loan from Berwick Rangers just before Christmas last year having joined Berwick at the beginning of the season from Loanhead Miners Welfare. Prior to that, Sam had spent time with Hibs and Hutchison Vale. Sam was captain of the Berwick Rangers ‘Development’ side last season and was Player of the Year. Having left Berwick at the end of the season Sam signed a permanent deal at Penicuik. We are delighted to confirm striker Keith Murray has joined Penicuik Athletic. Keith began his career at Hibs before joining Leith Athletic in 2010, spending the majority of five seasons at the club with a short spell at Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale in between. A move to Spartans followed where he spent 18 months and spent time on loan at Preston Athletic. He moved to Musselburgh Athletic towards the end of the 2016/17 season before joining Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale in January 2018. He spent last season in the Lowland League at Civil Service Strollers. A warm welcome to Penicuik Keith Well   known   to   Penicuik   fans   from   his   spells   at   Newtongrange,   Musselburgh   and   latterly   Dalkeith,   as   well   as   East   Fife and   Selkirk,   former   Junior   Scotland   international   Paul   was   the   Jags   top   goal   scorer   last   season   and   will   provide   further competition up front. Ryan Baptie (Defender) - 22 year old Ryan began his career in the youth ranks of Hibs all the way up to Under 20s, before spending a season at Inverness Caledonian Thistle. He then joined Peterhead prior to season 2015/16 and in his two seasons there Ryan spent time out on loan with both Linlithgow Rose and Broxburn Athletic, helping the latter to the Fife & Lothians Cup Final last season. Ryan however might be best known for his stunning 35 yard strike for Linlithgow against Wick Academy in the Scottish Cup which was nominated for Goal of the Tournament. W e   can   confirm   striker   Lumbert   Kateleza   has   re-joined   Penicuik   Athletic   from   Newcraighall   Vics.‘Lumbo’   began   his   first   spell   at Penicuik   in   July   2017,   scoring   on   his   debut   against   Linlithgow   Rose   before   going   on   to   help   the   Cuikie   lift   the   East   of   Scotland Cup   at   the   end   of   the   season.   Injuries   limited   his   start   to   last   season   and   he   only   made   16   appearances,   scoring   10   goals   and making   11   assists. A   loan   spell   at   Herriot   Watt   University   in   the   second   half   of   the   season   followed.   Lumbert   has   so   far   played   48 times for Penicuik, scoring 24 goals. Welcome back Lumbo! A ndrew   Forbes   (Defender)   - A   right   back   who   played   his   youth   football   with   Inverurie   Loco   Works,   and   had   featured   on   a   handful of   occasions   for   their   Highland   League   first   team   before   moving   south   in   2008   to   attend   Heriot   Watt   University.   He   became   a stalwart   of   Heriot   Watt’s   East   of   Scotland   League   team   over   seven   seasons   and   earned   recognition   as   a   member   of   the   Scottish Universities   select   team.   Joined   Haddington   at   the   start   of   2015-16   before   heading   to   Penicuik.   He   was   capped   for   Scotland home and away agains Ireland and left Penicuik to join Berwick Rangers, but returned to Penicuik in season 2019/20.

K evin   Swain   has   agreed   to   join   Penicuik   Athletic   ahead   of   season   2019/20.   Highly   regarded   over   his   two   spells   at   Lothian Thistle    Hutchison    Vale,    Kevin    also    counts    Spartans    and   Albion    Rovers    amongst    his    former    clubs    and    brings    plenty    of experience to the club as a former East of Scotland League Champion.
