Cuikie crash out of Cup again on penalties Penicuik were second best for most of the game and found themselves two goals down in the first half. Ruari McLennan put Linlithgow ahead in the 25th minute and then an own goal by Callum Connolly added a second just before half time. Penicuik improved their performance in the second half but it took until the 89th minute before Wayne McIntosh pulled a goal back. Then, in added on time, Craig Stevenson calmly scored the last gasp penalty to send it to extra time. Three minutes into extra time and Rose were awarded a penalty that saw Darrell Young sent off. Robert Watt saved Coyne’s penalty kick but Ross Barbour followed up to score. With five minutes to go, Arran Ponton levelled the score again. However, yet again the Cuikie penalty curse raised it’s ugly head and Linlithgow won the shoot out 1-4. Click on the camera for the match video talking points
