Penicuik Athletic
Established 1888
A great big thank you to all the fans who turned out to support Penicuik Athletic in arctic weather conditions and happily they were rewarded with another hard earned three points. Penicuik took the lead in the 29th minute when Sean Jamieson drilled the ball low into the far bottom corner of the net. Into the second half and the visitors equalised in the 51st minute when Derryn Kessen slid in to slot the ball under keeper Allison as he rushed from goal. Broughty’s joy was short lived as Aaron Somerville’s superb volley six minutes later was a worthy game winner for Penicuik. Ryan Baptie short term loan move Ryan Baptie joins Haddington Athletic on short loan. ‪We can confirm that defender Ryan Baptie has joined Haddington Athletic on a short term loan deal until the 31st of March. ‪Ryan joined Penicuik in the summer but unfortunately suffered a broken leg in our final preseason friendly, ruling Ryan out until January. When his debut did arrive, he marked it with a crucial goal against Dundonald Bluebell. Having already committed for next season, we look forward to welcoming back Ryan after his loan spell is finished. ‪Good luck Ryan!
