the Sportsman’s Dinner on
Saturday 8th June. The
Dinner was a great success
with top class entertainment
from Willie Young who
regailed us with some great
West of Scotland banter and
hilarious football anecdotes.

Penicuik Athletic Annual General Meeting
Wednesday 19th June
The AGM will be held on Wednesday 19th June in the
Town Hall at 7.30pm. Any nominations for committee
membership should be proposed and seconded in
writing and submitted to the Club Secretary Neil
Gordon by 29.5.13
Penicuik 2 Broughty Athletic 0
Penicuik made it five wins in a
row in their final match of the
season against Broughty
Athletic, but all to no avail as
Armadale secured the final
promotion place with a 1-0 win
away to Dundee Violet.
Penicuik took the lead through
top goal scorer Sean Patterson
in the 18th minute and he doubled Penicuik’s advantage
in the 35th minute from the penalty spot after Chris
Roxburgh was brought down in the box by Brash. The
second half was evenly contested but scoring
opportunities were few and far between and the game
fizzled out with Penicuik completing an impressive run of
five wins in their last five games.
