An early goal by John Harvey from a cross by Ryan Gay in 3 mins gave a promise of more goals but due to the two Vics full backs and inspired goalkeeping by Stewart Glancy plus a poor shooting display by the Penicuik forwards only one goal at half time.

In the second half however in the 47th min Dean Walker made it 2-0 and 2 mins later a strike from Kevin Milne made it 3-0.  John Harvey added another goal in 54 mins to make it 4-0, but in 58 minutes however, Andrew Watt pulled one back for the visitors.

More goals were to come however with Harvey adding a fifth in 65 minutes to complete his hat trick. At the other end, in a goalmouth scramble saw an own goal coming off Graham Gallacher to make the score a bit more respectable. Harvey struck again in the 77th minute but 3 mins later the seventh goal came from Ross Montgomery.

A game better rembered for poor shooting from both sides but for all their efforts the Vics back three could not stop the goal rush.
