when
a

was
headed
over
by
Somerville.
However
in
the
8th
minute
Tranent
took
the
lead
when
a
cross
into
the
penalty
area
picked
out
MILLER
who
turned
quickly
to
drill
the
ball
past
Watt.
Then
five
minutes
later,
a
free
kick
to
Tranent
was
parried
by
keeper
Watt
and
PATERSON
reacted
quickest
to
poke
the
ball
home.
On
the
half
hour,
another
free
kick
to
Tranent
was
headed
clear
but
fell
to
Smith
outside
the

dipping
strike
was
saved
by
Watt.

attacked
up
the
left
and
Stevenson’s
deep
cross
had
keeper
Adams
back
peddling
to
tip
the
ball
over
the
crossbar.
Then
another
free
kick
by
Stevenson
had
keeper
Adams
scrambling
across
his
goal

as
the

flashed
inches
wide
of
his

of

pressing
the
visitors
defence,
but
keeper
Adams
intercepted
a

under
strong

from

and

On
the

mark,
a
clever
turn
by
Stewart
saw
him
get
round
the
back
of
the
Tranent
defence
and
appeared
to
be
pulled
down.
However
he
quickly
got
to
his
feet
to
cross
the
ball
to
Devlin
two
yards
from
the
goal
line,
but
a
superb
tackle
by
Tranent
captain,
Hawkins,
saved
the
day
for
Tranent.
Four
minutes
later,
a
corner
to
Tranent
was
headed
by
Whitson
at
the
back
post,
but
Baptie
was
on
hand
to
clear
the
ball
off
the
line.
Then
a
long
ball
by
Tranent
saw
Paterson
strike
for
goal,
but
Watt
was
alert
to
the
danger
turning
the
shot
round
the
post
for
a
corner.
Following
another
corner
to
Tranent,
Craigie
at
the
back
post
volleyed
the
ball
towards
goal
and
again
Baptie
was
there
to
clear
off
the
line.
In
their
next
attack,
Paterson
broke
free,
one
on
one
with
keeper
Watt,
but
he
dallied
too
long
and
Thompson
and
Young
recovered
to
deny
the
striker.
In
the
80th
minute,
Penicuik
pulled
a
goal
back.
A
Stevenson

kick
was
headed

across
goal
by

headed
home.
In
the
86th
minute,
with
Penicuik
piling
on
the
pressure,
Devlin
was
picked
out
by
a
deep
cross,
but
his
header
went
straight
to
Adams.
Then
deep
into
injury
time,
an
O’Donnell
shot
into
the
danger
area
was
side
footed
home
by

for a share of the points.
