Eight minutes later, Penicuik attacked down the left and Noble crossed the ball into the box.  Keeper Smith kame out to punch clear but missed the ball completely. Minutes later a free kick to Swifts just outside the penalty area was driven in past the  defensive wall by Baker but wide of the goal. On the half hour, a neat move by Penicuik saw Somerville lay the ball back to  Jones, but his effort from outside the penalty box flew high over the crossbar. At the other end a long range strike by Scott for  Swifts went wide of the upright. Then a corner to Jeanfield saw McManus’s shot comfortably gathered by keeper Easton. In the  44th minute, a mix up between Easton and Young gave Scott an opportunity, but more by luck than design, the danger was  cleared. One minute later, Jeanfield had the ball in the net , but were ruled offside by the stand side assistant. Four minutes into  injury time, Swifts Centre back Deans was red carded for foul and abusive language. Immediately afterwards, FORBES headed  home a Gay corner kick.  Half Time: Penicuik 1 Jeanfield 0  In the opening minute of the half, ten man Swifts attacked up the left and a mistake in defence allowed a strike on goal. The ball  ran along the goal line, hit the far post and was cleared. In the 56th minute, McDonald broke up the right for Penicuik, cut the  ball across the box to S Scott who saw his strike superbly saved by keeper Mitchell. In the 59th minute with Penicuik pressing  hard, Jones burst into the box only to see Mitchell turn away his goal bound strike. The ball was then fed back to SOMERVILLE  who made no mistake to double Penicuik’s lead. In Penicuik’s next attack, S Scott was set free by a defence splitting pass. He  tried to round Mitchell but the keeper did exceptionally well to smother the ball at the striker’s feet. Minutes later, another great  pass set S SCOTT free again and this time he made no mistake, curling his shot over keeper Mitchell into the top corner of the  net. In the 71st minute a fine passing move by Jeanfield was thwarted by a superb one handed save by Easton, tipping the ball  over the bar. Five minutes later another great move by Penicuik saw substitute Lough sky the ball over the bar when it seemed  easier to score. However LOUGH redeemed himself one minute later slamming home from inside the box. Then Swift’s Smith  received two yellow cards and an early bath as the game reached injury time.  Full Time: Penicuik 4 Jeanfield 0
