Craigmark Bruntonians 0 Penicuik Athletic 4 Craigmark: Brotherstone, Barratt, Dawson, McKay, Kirkwood, McKambley, Gallagher, Dyer, Dempster, Hall, Reid Subs: Nairn,  Mair, Steele, McCrory  Penicuik: Bejaoui, Forbes, Noble, Hume (c), Young, Jancyzk, Sproule, Barr, Somerville, Lough, Montgomery Subs: K Scott,  Connolly, S Scott, McCallum, Gay  The home side were first on the attack earning a corner kick that was well defended by Penicuik. The first chance fell to  Craigmark when striker Dempster broke free but Bejaoui pulled off a good save to turn the shot away for a corner kick. In the  14th minute, a blistering run by Young broke through the Craigmark defence, but Sproule’s curling cross found no Penicuik  takers.  Four minutes later, Dempster outpaced the Penicuik defence and only a last gasp tackle by Sproule cut out the striker’s  cross. On the half hour, a quick break from defence by Craigmark saw Dyer go on a run and set up Dempster but his weak shot  was easily gathered by Bejaoui. At the other end, a Hume header off a corner kick was headed off the line by Dawson. Then in  the 33rd minute, another quick break from defence by the home side saw Bejaoui save a powerful Dempster strike. Two  minutes later Penicuik took the lead when Lough headed on a Bejaoui clearance to SPROULE who deftly lobbed keeper  Brotherstone. In their next attack Penicuik doubled their lead when SOMERVILLE blasted home after Forbes drove through the  home defence. Just before half time, Dempster had another chance, but once again he was denied by a fine block by Bejaoui.  Half Time: Craigmark 0 Penicuik 2  Four minutes into the half and Bejaoui was called upon to tip a free kick over the crossbar. Play swung from end to end with  both sides creating chances but neither side could take advantage. In the 65th minute, Sproule turned Dawson inside out but  Brotherstone turned substitute S Scott’s strike round the post. Ten minutes later, Penicuik increased their lead when a BARR   strike was deflected over keeper Brotherstone. Immediately afterwards, Penicuik put the game to bed when LOUGH curled a  twenty yard free kick round the wall into the bottom corner of the net. In the 87th minute, following a corner to Craigmark,  substitute Mair saw his header cleared off the line by K Scott. In the second minute of injury time Craigmark almost got a  consolation goal, but Reid’s effort saw Bejaoui, at full stretch, tip the ball away and cleared.  Final Score: Craigmark 0 Penicuik 4
