Immediately afterwards McDonough had a long range effort that was comfortably held by Bejaoui. In their next attack, Docherty saw Bejaoui get down low to his right to save his strike. With the strong gusting wind affecting play, neither side created anything resembling a goal threat until the 26th minute when McCulloch had a half chance but sliced his shot wide of the target. On the half hour, a quickly taken free kick caught out the Penicuik defence, but an instinctive save by Bejaoui saw him turn the ball round the post for a corner. From the corner, Bejaoui got finger tips to the ball, but it fell to Bratchie. His curling shot looked net bound, but it clipped the crossbar and was thumped clear. In the 38th minute, somewhat against the run of play, a Gay free kick was hooked home by MONTGOMERY from close range giving Penicuik a flattering 1-0 half time lead. Half Time: Penicuik 1 Oakley 0 Penicuik made an early substitution with Barr coming on for Brigain but he limped off injured after only eight minutes. His replacement McPartlin immediately had a scoring opportunity but dragged his shot wide of the goal. In the 58th minute, Killin was set free one on one with keeper Burgess who pulled off a superb save to keep the deficit to one. However, Penicuik doubled their lead in the 63rd minute when  McCULLOCH slotted home his debut goal off a pin point Ross pass. In the 69th minute, following a third consecutive Penicuik corner kick, Burgess punched the ball out to the edge of the box from where McCulloch shot first time, but his effort went just wide of the target. One minute later, Penicuik had the ball in the back of the net after McCulloch rounded Burgess, but he was ruled offside. In the74th minute, Killin should have scored when a defensive mix up left the goal gaping, but he blasted the ball high over the bar. With Penicuik piling on the pressure, a Montgomery strike flew a yard over the bar. In the 81st minute, a Lister pass set up Killin, but again Burgess pulled off a great save. However, this time the ball fell to  McPARTLIN made no mistake and slotted home. Two minutes later, Killin saw his strike crash back off the  bar and ROSS side footed the rebound into the back of the net. Then in the 85th minute, with the Oakley  defence in tatters, McPARTLIN drove into the box and finished off in style. With one minute to go the rout  was complete when Killin picked out MONTGOMERY in acres of space on the left of the penalty box. He controlled the ball, looked up and smashed an unstoppable shot past Burgess to give Penicuik a resounding victory. Final Score: Penicuik 6 Oakley 0
