Then in the 22nd minute, a mistake by Killin saw his pass go over the head of Cunnison and FERTACZ latched on to the ball, rounded Bejaoui and stroked the ball into the empty net. On the half hour, Montgomery broke down the left and sent over a high cross into the box. McCulloch out jumped keeper Tough, but his header looped over the bar. One minute later, Fertacz, who was causing the Penicuik defence problems, saw his quick turn and shot go narrowly past the post. In their next attack, Kinnoull’s Dodd should have done better, but his weak shot was easily covered by Bejaoui. At the other end, a neat interchange between Ross and McPartlin down the right saw Ross’s strike smothered at the second attempt by Tough. In the 37th minute, a McCulloch header was cleared off the line for a corner to Penicuik. One minute later, keeper Tough miskicked a clearance allowing Penicuik possession and Montgomery’s cross to the far side of the box was thumped into the roof of the net by McPARTLIN. Half Time: Penicuik 1 Kinnoull 1 In the opening minute of the half, Penicuik had keeper Bejaoui to thank for keeping the score level. First of all, Fertacz broke free of the Penicuik defence and had only Bejaoui to beat, but the keeper brought off an outstanding one handed instinctive save to tip the striker’s shot on to the bar and over for a corner kick. From the corner, a header looked a goal all the way until Bejaoui leapt across his goal tip the ball round the post. Immediately afterwards, a Gay free kick was headed just wide by McCulloch. Then three goals in fifteen minutes killed off Kinnoull. In the 50th minute, CUNNISON slotted home from close range after McCulloch won a header in the box. Minutes later, McPartlin came close with a header and in the 62nd minute an excellent move down the right by Penicuik saw Ross curl the ball to the back post where McCulloch’s cushion header set up MONTGOMERY who smashed the ball into the back of the net.  Three minutes later an own goal put the game to bed when a defender’s glancing header off a Gay cross flew over keeper Tough into the back of the net. All credit to Kinnoull, they never gave up and in the 85th minute, tricky winger Dodd saw his well struck shot tipped over the bar by the ever alert Bejaoui. In the 88th minute, substitute Robertson set Montgomery free on the left. His cross into the box had Tough back peddling, but he did exceptionally well to pluck the ball from under his crossbar.
