Referee: Mr Duncan Smith Jeanfield Swifts came all the way down from Perth for this East Premier League tie with Penicuik looking to avenge one of the few defeats suffered this season and a victory would clinch the League title for Penicuik. In the opening minute, McCulloch got his head cross into the box, but his effort went over the bar. One minute later, McPartlin won the ball just inside the Swifts half, drove forward, but his shot flashed over the crossbar. Minutes later, a great driving run by Ross through the Jeanfield midfield was foiled by a great ackle by Anton just as Ross was about to shoot. From the corner, McCulloch again got in a header, but keeper Bruce punched the ball clear. Then Mackie for Jeanfield sent over a dangerous cross into the six yard box where McDermott got a boot to the ball to clear for a corner kick. In the 16th minute, a Gay free kick was turned round the post by Bruce diving low down to his left. The best chance of the game fell to the visitors when Mackie again crossed into the six yard box where Deans got a touch to the ball, but as it was bouncing around in the box, Bejaoui scrambled along the ground to smother the ball at the feet of Deans. Bejaoui was again in action shortly afterwards when, following a corner to Jeanfield he dived down to snatch the ball off the toe of Alexander. Despite some excellent football on really difficult underfoot conditions the home side were unable to convert their superiority into goals.  The weather conditions deteriorated rapidly and the last twenty minutes were played in torrential rain that saw the pitch quickly flood in several areas. In the half time interval, Penicuik ground staff, substitutes and fans worked hard to clear the water from the park, but after twenty minutes referee Smith declared the pitch unplayable and the game was abandoned.
