A big thank you to all our fans and sponsors for your great support throughout the season -- Don't forget to get your tickets for the Sportsman's Dinner on the 9th June
Our Main Sponsor E-mail the webmaster   So near, yet so far. The first half was a bit of a slog into a strong wind where we remained solid defensively but when playing into a wind it's important to make good use of the ball and we failed to do that in both halves of the game. We were happy going in 0-0 at half time and hoped the boys would be a bit more relaxed in the second half and get the ball down and play, that just never happened, all the good football on the day came from Broxburn and they got their just deserts for it. The first goal in any football match at any level is often crucial and even more so in the tight games, once Broxburn got it there was no way they were going to give it up. We have had a terrible time away from home this season, only winning 3 times, so to have to go to Broxburn (who are on a fantastic run of results) and get a win was always going to be a big ask. I said in the press last week I hoped the best team on the day would win and it's only fair to say that is what happened. A disappointing end to what has been a difficult season in a very competitive league but we'll be back wiser and stronger next season, ready for another battle. Finally, I would just like to thank all our faithful fans, your support at Broxburn and all season long has been fantastic.   Youth Cup Finals at Penicuik Park The following Youth Cup Finals will be held at Penicuik Park:  Wed 30/05 - Murphy Trophy Final - Leith Athletic v Tranent Juniors U - 21's - KO 7.00pm. Craig’s view vs Broxburn Latest News and Updates Craig’s review of our 2012 season. I think the best way to describe the past season is inconsistent, we have been like two different teams this season, the home  team and away team. The home team has competed brilliantly in every game, losing just twice in all competitions but in contrast,  the away team has struggled and won only 4 times. The cup  competitions (all away from home) threw up some horrible draws which you have to say, were a huge let down. During the past season's league campaign we competed better than ever before in the premier league, and saw us take our  promotion challenge right to the last game of the season. It was obviously a big let down to come so close and then miss out but we believe we have taken huge steps in the right direction and  laid really solid foundations for next season’s challenge. We  introduced some new young faces to our squad, all of whom  were new to this level of football and all have done a great job  for the club. The biggest problem we have had this past season was the lack of a consistent goal scorer, I think that's been apparent to  everyone who has followed our progress. Losing Grant Killin so early in the season really hurt us but he will be back next season and will be like a new signing. This will obviously be one of our  main focuses when building for next season. The  disappointments of the past season have been quickly replaced by the excitement of the up and coming season and I for one  can't wait, come on the Cuikie.    Manager’s season 2012 review
