What is a Community Sport Hub?
Hubs
are
part
of
the
2014
Commonwealth
Games
Legacy
for
local
communities.
Funding
has
been
provided
through
sportscotland
to
develop
Hubs locally.
Hubs aim to:
bring
local
people
together
to
provide
a
more
joined
up
approach
to
local
sports provision
help develop local sport and increase participation
support and develop coaches/volunteers
publicise local clubs
Benefits to clubs:
promotion of your club – so people know what is on, where and when
a
local
forum
for
clubs
to
come
together
to
share
ideas,
good
practice
and
seek advice and work together
support for coach/volunteer development
support for club development and growth
access to funding
to help with coach training/qualification
for new equipment to help clubs accommodate new members
facilities funding

introduce

new
members
to
sport
