However, in the 10th minute Paul TANSEY blasted the ball from twenty yards past McGurk. Then, in the 16th minute, Penicuik doubled their lead when Lumbert KATELEZA volleyed the ball home following a corner kick. Minutes later, Myles was late in a tackle on Stevenson and earned a yellow card for his actions. In their next attack, Kateleza set up Edwards but he dragged his shot wide of the post. In the 37th minute, a Thomson free kick dipped over the Penicuik crossbar. Just before half time, Musselburgh should have pulled back a goal but Ballantyne blasted over from close range. However, one minute into injury time, Ballentyne’s shot crashed back of the bar but EVANS followed up to head home. Half Time: Penicuik 2 Musselburgh 1 Three minutes into the half and a mistake by keeper McGurk almost allowed Kateleza to score, but a last gasp tackle denied the Penicuik man. In the 55th minute a Musselburgh free kick brought out the save of the match by Tait. The following corner caused panic in the home defence, but Stevenson took charge to clear the danger. Immediately afterwards, Ballantyne was denied by a great save by Tait and Moffat blasted the rebound over the bar when it seemed easier to score. At the other end, a determined run by Tansey culminated with Lamb curling the ball over the bar. Then in the 68th minute, a flowing nine pass move by Penicuik from defence to attack saw Lumbert KATELEZA chip the ball over McGurk into the net. Five minutes later, Tansey waltzed past defenders only to see his strike deflected for a corner. In the 83rd minute substitute Reid was set free but a timely tackle denied the striker. Musselburgh pulled a goal back when Tait tipped a strike on to the crossbar, but the rebound was knocked into his own net by THOMSON. Final Score: Penicuik 3 Musselburgh 2
