Craig Meikle revealed his delight at adding last season’s Lowland League top goal scorer  Aaron Somerville to his squad, believing the striker could go on to become a legend at the  club. The former Whitehill Welfare frontman has penned a one-year deal at Penicuik after  hitting 32 goals for the Ferguson Park side. Craig said “I’ve been trying to sign Aaron since he was at Newtongrange, before he even  went to Whitehill. Every summer I’ve spoke to him, but he’s a loyal lad and stuck with it at  Whitehill. What we are lacking at Penicuik is goals and Aaron has a great scoring record. Penicuik have also signed Daryl Devlin from Gala Fairydean Rovers. Daryl is a versatile  attacking midfielder who can play anywhere across the middle of the park, and has played  for various East of Scotland sides, including now Lowland League clubs Edinburgh City and  Whitehill Welfare We are delighted to confirm the signings of Keith Lough and Lewis Barr, from Gala  Fairydean and East Fife respectively.Keith is a winger who can play down both flanks, and  spent five years in America with Detroit City FC - click here to see Keith in action over in  the States, http://youtu.be/0xiNPFTQe9k. Keith then returned home, with Berwick Rangers,  Vale of Leithen and finally Gala Fairydean. Lewis is a product of the East Fife Youth setup and made the break through to their first  team during the 2013/14 season. Lewis is a familiar face, playing five matches for us on loan  during the 2012/13 season. Lewis is a central midfield player and he was released by East  Fife at the end of the season. Despite some fierce competition, Lewis chose to return to  Penicuik, saying, "I'm delighted to sign with Penicuik Athletic for next season, it's time to kick  on and get a good run of games." Welcome to Penicuik guys! DEPARTURE  Player/coach David Burrell has left the club to return to Bonnyrigg Rose to become Assistant  Manager following the appointment of Robbie Horn as their new manager this week. David  leaves with the club's blessing and we wish him all the best.  Latest signing from Musselburgh Athletic is Dan Moffat. Dan is a centre half and has also  played for Musselburgh Windsor.
