He crossed the ball into the Oakley penalty box where PATTERSON nipped in to slide the ball past Page. Two minutes later, Millar set up PATTERSON who fairly drilled the ball past Page to double Penicuik's lead. The home side mounted their first attack on goal when Bratchie sent a tantalising pass along the Penicuik six yard box, but Scarborough was unable to get a touch on the ball. In the 15th minute, the woodwork came to Oakley's rescue when a Kerr free kick crashed back off the crossbar. However Penicuik were not to be denied, and in their next attack, a penalty was awarded when Millar was pulled down by keeper page. GAY competently despatched the spot kick. Two minutes later, A Gay free kick was powerfully headed home by MILLAR. In the 32nd minute, a long clearance by Bald was picked up by Montgomery on the left edge of the Oakley penalty box. He let fly with a typical Monty thunderbolt that beat Page all ends up but hit the junction of the bar and post, going over for a goal kick. Minutes later the same player saw his shot from just outside the box hit the side netting. Penicuik should have scored again the 42nd minute when Millar had only Page to beat, but his strike with the outside of his right boot went inches past the keeper's left hand post. Half Time: Oakley 0 Penicuik 4 Three minutes into the half and a defence splitting pass by Barr set up PATTERSON to round kepper Page and complete his hat trick. Immediately afterwards, a long clearance by Oakley picked out Scarborough who saw his effort bring a great save out of Bald. In the 55th minute, a corner to Oakley was taken short to Mauchline who saw his powerful shot flash a foot over the bar. At the other end, a powerful Montgomery strike was brilliantly saved by Page and Roxburgh volleyed home the rebound only to be ruled offside.  In the 63rd minute, Roxburgh again had the ball in the back of net but was again ruled offside, this time dubiously so. Then, following a free kick to Penicuik, Millar battled his way through four tackles to shoot on goal, but Page spread himself well to turn the shot away for a corner. The home side pulled a goal back in the 68th minute when a McMillan cross was headed home by BRATCHIE from inside the six yard box. In the 72nd minute, following a corner to Penicuik that was cleared to the opposite wing, Gay curled the ball back into the six yard box where hat trick hero PATTERSON headed home. Minutes later, Roxburgh turned his marker inside out with some neat footwork, but his strike on goal went inches wide.  Patterson almost added a fifth to his tally when his header looped over page but landed on the roof of the net. Final Score: Oakley 1 Penicuik 6
