As custom dictates Penicuik played towards the High School against that wind Penicuik and were immediately on the attack but the danger was cleared and after only a couple of minutes had a great chance which Bunyan scooped over from very close range. With Penicuik on top it wasn't long (8 minutes) before excellent inter-passing down the left between Paliczka and Montgomery allowed the former to pass through the proverbial eye of a needle allowing PALICZKA to slip the ball past Jamie Thomson in the Dunbar goal. Penicuik continued to press, a shot and a header from Barr went close. This included a slack clearance from the aforesaid Jamie Thomson which struck Sean's posterior and looped up in the high wind  towards the Dunbar goal. However the keeper managed to avert the calamity and save his blushes. Dunbar however were not out of it by any means and made several breakaways toward Haldane but never tested him. They were however confined to long range effort which did not test Haldane. On 29 minutes MONTGOMERY  ran through on goal then along the 18 yard box ending in a crisp shot which left Dunbar's goalie clutching at fresh air. Following this Penicuik embarked on a period of controlled and pinpoint passing which one bystander described as being Barcelona-esque. However some slack play in midfield and defence resulted in bookings and also chances for Dunbar who had, fortunately left their shooting boots at the seaside. Most of these chances ended up in the Loanburn or perhaps in one case the grounds of Heinsberg House. Half time Penicuik 2 - 0 Dunbar Policzka again went close from a free kick. The game was becoming more physical and Penicuik were making progress up the right and came close on several occasions. Roxburgh then had a series of near misses one after a lung-busting run with Dunbar defenders either side which narrowly missed going in top right of Thomson's goal. The third goal duly arrived (67 minutes) when a cross from the right eluded everyone except the unmarked MONTGOMERY coolly scoring from a narrow angle. He only just missed his hat-trick whit a great effort which went over after striking the crossbar. However only 6 minutes later Montgomery was sent from the field for we know not what. Penicuik now consolidated at the back trying to hold on to their lead. It wasn't 'til the 89th minute YOUNG  scored a consolation goal for Dunbar. It's Cuikie in the hat for the next round where will we be going next? Final Score: Penicuik 3 Dunbar United 1
