Connor Thomson Interview Latest News and Updates Website last updated Wednesday 4.1.12 at 11.32am (Wm Hill Odds)   Penicuik took on Dalkeith Thistle on the Penicuik Astro turf on 31.12.11 and ran out 6-3 winners. Team: Bald, Riley, McDermott, Meikle, Cunnison, Barr, Knight, McPartlin, Smith, Brigain, Draper Subs: Roxburgh, Martin, Thomson, O’Reilly In a entertaining game that swung from end to end, Penicuik opened the scoring in the 12th minute when a Dean Knight cross was deflected past his own keeper by Dalkeith’s Grant Gavin. Penicuik continued to look the stronger team, but it took them until the 40th minute before they doubled their lead with a well taken goal by Mark Smith. Half time: Penicuik 2 Dalkeith 0 Four minutes into the second half and Craig Meikle (see photo left) headed home a McDermott corner kick. Dalkeith pulled a goal back in the 59th minute through Lloyd Richardson but Penicuik responded immediately with a goal from Conor Thomson. Then in the 78th minute Steven Pudledski did well scoring from close range for Dalkeith, but again Penicuik replied quickly with a composed finish two minutes later by new signing Craig O’Reilly. Five minutes from time, David Morris got a consolation goal for Dalkeith when he knocked the ball home from close range. Penicuik win 6-3 against Dalkeith Thistle
