HARVEY latched on to the ball and lobbed the advancing keeper to open the scoring. Two minutes later, Timmins sent over a great cross into the Penicuik box, but the strike on goal flashed high over the bar. Then Carle had a chance, but his shot hit the side netting. In the 22nd minute, a Gallagher free kick to the back post was slotted home from a tight angle by CAMPBELL. In the 32nd minute, Kinnoull lost possession in the middle of the park and Killin’s inch perfect pass set HARVEY free and he drove the ball home past McKinnie. Four minutes later, Killin’s tenacity paid off when he won the ball off two Kinnoull defenders and laid the ball back to the edge of the box. BRIGAIN slammed the ball past McKinnie to seal the points for Penicuik. In the 42nd minute, a quick throw in by Killin set Brigain free. He got to the bye line and sent over a hard low cross where defenders and Penicuik player’s failed to get a touch on the ball when it seemed impossible not to score. Half Time: Kinnoull 0 Penicuik 4 Five minutes into the half and Bald had to be alert to clutch a well stuck shot by Timmins. In the 54th minute after good work by Harvey, his pass was struck by Gay but it sailed high over the bar. In the 60th minute, following a free kick to Penicuik, Kinnoull failed to clear the ball from the penalty box and KILLIN pounced to slam the ball into th bottom corner of the net. In Penicuik’s next attack, Harvey saw his snap shot go straight into the arms of McKinnie. Then in the 63rd minute Kinnoull’s Scott was red carded three times. In the 69th minute, Walker should have scored when McDermott picked him out at the back post but the striker’s effort somehow went high over the bar. In 71st minute, Robertson gave away a cheap free kick and from Timmins’s cross, WEBSTER rose above the Penicuik defence to head home. Then in the 78th minute, a lightning quick break out of defence by Kinnoull saw three passes set up BRADSHAW who effortlessly slotted the ball past Bald. However, Penicuik were not finished and in the 86th minute, from a corner kick to the front post, KILLIN nipped in ahaed of his marker to glance a header into the top right hand corner of the net.
