Following the resignation of Willie McGinley after six years as manager,
Penicuik Athletic appointed Stuart McKean as the new manager for season 2008/09. Stuart was assistant to Willie for four of
his six years and was a natural choice to take over the reins.
Stuart was signed on an 'S' form with Hearts for 3 years but was released and moved to
Cowdenbeath before joining Armadale Thistle in 1988. He then moved from Armadale to Bonnyrigg Rose, playing there for a number
of years and received a testimonial although he did not manage 10 years service. He then moved back to Armadale as player
coach before joining Penicuik as assistant to Willie. He is totally committed and enthusiastic in his new role and
looking forward to challenges ahead.
Jimmy was involved with Eskmills Boys Club for ten years as a coach and then at Rosyth Recreation before joining Willie
at Penicuik when the team restarted in 2002.
